He Is 04:49
High above my life, high above my circumstances After all this time, He is, He must be, tell me it’s true High above the noise, deeper than my situation In my grief and joy, He is, He must be, tell me it’s true Tell me it’s true That He is here Oh, how we think of Him is the most important thing Oh, how we lose our grip on the most important thing That He is God He is God He Is © Maywood 2014

One 04:22
You are Your own description, in every season You exist because You exist. You are Your own reason Inward and outward, flowing off my lips Within and surrounding, infinite You are One You are One Look at how deep Your scars are, see how they shine so bright You bear them for eternity, only a child knows why You are, You are who You are You will be who You will be Let the whole earth tremble at Your holy trinity You are One You are One You are One Cause You are the start and You are the end Everywhere I fail, there you begin again Your hope is still Your mystery like the rain is still the rain Like the fire is a fire You remain One You are One You are One You are One © Maywood 2014

Lady Wisdom 07:27
There’s a story I’ve been told of a woman in the West Beautiful to behold and she walks the way that’s best Cause she is wise and she is beautiful For those that would turn aside to hear what she would say Would find their very lives on a heavenly staircase Cause she is wise and she is beautiful She is wise and she is beautiful But no one cares to know her name No one cares where she stays And I, I am the one to blame She’s calling in the streets for the world to cast aside The plague of unbelief, of arrogance and pride For she is wise and she is beautiful She is wise, worth more than gold But no one cares to know her name And no one cares where she stays And I, I am the one to blame And I, yes I am the one The one to blame, the one to blame And I, yes I am the one The one to blame, the one to blame But no one cares to know her name And no one cares where she stays And I, I am the one to blame © Maywood 2014

Genesis 22 07:03
Wait just one moment, friend I think I hear a whisper on the wind Can you hear it calling? Can you hear it calling? I think it’s calling my name Wait just one more time I thought You told me to walk the line But then You walked it by Yourself You walked it by Yourself Can I ask why? So show Yourself, cause I know that You’re there I can see it in the color, I can taste it on the air But still it’s so hard to believe That this is what You want for me Wait, I don’t understand I don’t think that I can But I’m climbing this mountain Climbing this mountain with a knife in my hand So show Yourself, cause I know that You’re there And I can see it in these colors I can taste it on the air But still it’s so hard to believe This is what You want This is what You want from me There must be some mistake Maybe some other way I’ve waited so long I’ve waited so long Was it all in vain? Was it all in vain? So show Yourself, cause I know that You’re there I can see it in the colors I can taste it on the air Still it’s so hard to believe This is what You want from me © Maywood 2014

I am a poor, wayfaring stranger travelling through this world of woe There is no sickness, toil or danger in that fair land to which I go I’m going home to see my mother I’m going home, no more to roam I’m just a-going over Jordan I’m just a-going over home I know dark clouds will hover on me I know my pathway is rough and steep But golden fields lie out before me where weary eyes no more shall weep I’m going home to see my father I’m going home, no more to roam I’m just a-going over Jordan I’m just a-going over home I’ll soon be free from every trial This form shall rest beneath the sun I’ll drop the cross of self-denial And enter into home with God I’m going home to meet my Savior I’m going home, no more to roam I’m just a-going over Jordan I’m just a-going over home I’m just a-going over home

Oh, I See 07:27
I’ve been standing here for a lifetime anchored by a fear that hope has died I hear my name in the distance Or is that in my mind? This must be a myth I’ve been chasing None of it makes sense, someone wake me up I have a life I am missing By standing inside, waiting But there’s something here It’s drawing me in It’s more than a dream Oh, I see It’s all here in front of me You call to come closer Here I go I’ve been fast asleep for a long time Blissfully relieved of the beauty of this place Now I’m awake, I remember why I’m alive But there’s something more It’s pulling me close An ache in my chest, familiar and old I know this dream Oh, I see It’s all here in front of me You call to come closer Higher up, further in Here I go Here I go Here I go Oh, I see It’s all here in front of me You call to come closer Higher up, further in Here I go Here I go Here I go © Maywood 2014

about

This is the first installment of the concept album, "Trying to Make You Sing", which will highlight four bullet points of the Gospel. "Good Lord" uses elements of classic, pop and prog rock to explore the God of Abraham, His holiness and wisdom, and His hand reaching out to us.
